After turning down an interview by Peace 104.3 FM, snubbing the station’s show host Kwesi Aboagye and slamming the phone on him during a live radio session last Saturday, Praye Honeho, leader of the popular music duo, Praye, has finally apologized for his strange behaviour.
Praye Honeho who was trying to justify his actions to Yaw Sekyi during Wednesday’s edition of the Rundown show on TV Africa stated that “I didn’t mean to insult anybody. If it meant insulting to some people then I apologize for that but I was just emphasizing the fact that we need to promote our own”.
The musician whose comment, “By God’s grace and your insults I’m fine,” took Akwesi Aboagye, his producer, panellists on the show and listeners aback, explained that it was only a figure of speech.

“What I said with regard to the insults part, was a figure of speech because sometimes the discussions they have and also sometimes even their insults on the show, motivate we the celebrities. That is what I meant. Secondly, I had low battery and so my phone went off after the call. But I thought that after I said they should get our new songs to play, they were going to play and call me back but I didn’t hear from them,” Eugene Baah, as he is known in real life, said.

Praye Honeho, however, urged the media to help promote Ghanaian celebrities positively rather than concentrate only on the sensationalism bit of it.
“I was just trying to link it up to the fact that we have to promote our own. All I wanted to ensure was that they should just research on us when our new songs come but they shouldn’t get to the sensationalism part of it because the question they asked me, I didn’t even know what to say because I haven’t even heard the story before,” Praye Honeho said.
The award winning group is currently promoting its two new singles—‘Forever Gone’ and ‘Assemblyman’.
