Since 2001, Jupiter has been making strides in Ghana’s dancehall arena and seems not to relent in his effort to reach higher heights.
In an exclusive interview with Flex newspaper, he disclosed that after his UK tour in August, he will be launching his album in December, as well as perform in Jamaica this year, and also would collaborate with some of top Jamaican artistes for some wonderful tracks. His debut single “Nah Funk Again” was a smash hit and gained him an immediate recognition even as a new act. After years of hard work and determination, his talent for songwriting and first-class vocal ability has made his journey to the top effortless.
At the vibrant age of 21, he says: “I am nowhere near my destination. Initially I had decided to show my identity as a Jamaican just because I thought the organizers of Ghana Music Awards don’t encourage young artists in Ghana to do more but rather exposetheir bias and other activities such as selling nominations and awards as well, plus their way of killing people’s interest for doing good things, but now, I have realized that all I need is to work harder and Charterhouse as an organization will surely give me what is duly mine so I have changed my earlier thoughts about them,” he said.
Jupiter also said Bass Awards has really come to stay and thanked the organizers, especially Bull House Entertainment crew particularly to Bulldog and the CEO of Rakus Entertainment for the good initiative.“Well I was so glad for winning the Discovery of the Year award at the maiden edition of the Bass Awards so I am really working very hard with the aim of taking Ghanaian music to the outside world and with God and the support from Ghanaians we can make it,” he concluded.
