Best Kumawood Actors Of Our Time

Today, we’re taking you to our local movie industry popularly known as ‘Kumawood’. I am one person who is strongly against the use of the name ‘Kumawood’ for Kumasi movies but permit me to use it in this article for the want of words. In this article, I will be giving you the list of the actors who were or are still making waves in the Kumasi movie industry.
Kumawood movie has come a long way and this is due to the effort of some group of people. It took the strain of some Kumasi actors and movie producers to keep the Ghanaian movie industry alive when it nearly died. Below are the best actors of our time in ‘Kumawood’.
Agya Koo

agya koo
Arguably, he is the best actor in Kumawood as it stands now. He was part of the few people who stood to their feet to make sure the Ghanaian movie industry was active. Gone are the days when he used to play a major role in almost all movies which was released on the market but now….hmmmmm. I stand for correction but he is the only Kumasi actor who has been invited by Otumfour Osei Tutu II, the 16th King Asantehene of the Kingdom of Ashanti to his palace for an honour. His acting prowess cannot be underestimated according to the movies he has starred in. Many see him to the best actor in Ghana.
Liwinliwin
He needs no introduction as he is the man of the moment if you ask me. He covers over 90% of Kumasi movie posters in town and still counting. According to a bird who whispered into my ears while writing this, he doesn’t stay on one set for more than three days as he will be in a hurry to move to another set since he is the hottest cake currently. But I ask, is he the funniest man in Kumawood at the moment?
Akrobetoakrobeto
He started from the days of ‘Key Soap Concert Party’ which saw him registering his name in the movie industry some years ago. He does justice to roles given him which has made him appear in many movies even when there are many young guys emerging. Give Akrobeto a any role and you will not regret your decisions.
Bill Asamoah
This man when angry in a movie can’t be controlled by anybody. I even heard people calling him gay because of his role in a movie. According to experts, if people feel your character in a movie then it’s a plus for you.

Apostle John Prahjohn prah
He is an apostle but when it comes to his roles in movies, it’s an eye saw. I have seen lots of pastors entering into the movie industry because of the success he has attained. He preaches like nobody’s business when given the role as a pastor. Many thought he would be a one-man-character but he has proved that wrong by playing other roles in different movies.

Kwaku ManuKwaku Manu metro
When it comes to insults in movies, I can confidently say that this man is the best. He paved into the movie scene in a comic way which resulted him winning the heart of many Ghanaians. The name kwaku Manu can never be mentioned without his popular phrases like‘I’m kiss you’ and ‘I’m love you’’tonga’ as they have become a household term. Don’t forget he has added music to his career.
Mr. Beautifulmr. beautiful
He is barely seen in Kumwood movies off late but he can never be forgotten when mentioning names of best actors from that sector of movie production. He has won the heart of many with his Fante language which was singular in Twi movies.
KatawereKatawere
The list can never be completed without the name of his old talented man Katawere. He has been struggling with the young guys for roles and I know you will testify that he is one of the best when it comes to acting. I hardly watch movies but it seems I don’t see him in recent movies. Is he on holidays?
We have come to the end of the journey of the Best Kumawood Actors Of Our Time.  Did I miss any name that you expected?
