Praye Tiatia: I’m Very Responsible And Selly Has Nothing To Do With My Divorce

The shortest member of Hiplife group Praye, Praye Tiatia born Steven Fiawoo aka Big J who has been in the news for allegedly failing to take good care of his three kids has finally reacted to an allegation he describes as mischievous.

Speaking on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review show Praye Tiatia said he is a very responsible father to his children and he makes sure he provides whatever the kids need to be happy. “I want to say that I am a victim of single parenting my mum singlehandedly took care of me and so my mum will not sit down for me to be irresponsible and abandon my responsibilities and I love my kids so much to abandon them”.

Praye Tiatia stated he was married to the mother of his three kids but they separated about six years ago and he has never failed to take good care of their children even after the divorce. He said he still has a very cordial relationship with his ex-wife “To the extent that when I was in London recently and she even called me to request that I should buy a particular phone for her so I don’t know where all this is coming from”.

He added that his children; Sylvester Makafui Fiawoo 12years, Stephen Sellasie Fiawoo Jnr. 10 and Amanda Aseyey Fiawoo 9 years old attend one of the best school in Accra.

He also emphasized that his relationship with his kids and their mother has nothing to do with Ghanaian female representative in the ongoing Big Brother Africa season 8, Selly who is his current girlfriend.

“I want people to know that Selly did not come to break my marital home like it has been reported earlier. I was so single as at the time Selly came into my life about four years ago and my family and Selly’s family are so close. I don’t know where this is coming from”.

Big J said he suspects a particular woman is behind all this mischief and she is using Ghanacelebrities.com for her selfish interest. An allegation Ghanacelebrities.com has vehemently denied. He promised to expose the said woman in at the right time.

Peacefmonline.com’s efforts to contact Praye Tiatia’s ex-wife have been unsuccessful as she has refused to answer her phone.

Meanwhile Ghanacelebrities.com who broke the story still stands by their story insisting that Praye Tiatia is not being truthful. Even though they didn’t speak to Praye Tiatia’s ex-wife personally, two of her very close friends gave them the information and they trust their source.
In another development Praye’s Management released a statement yesterday Thursday June 13 to deny Ghanacelebrities claim.

Below Is The Statement Unedited:

It is disheartening to read stories in the media that are colourfully painted with lies. Selly had nothing to do with the break-up of Praye Tietia and his children’s mother. The relationship ended mutually two years before he met Selly.

We can confirm that he is responsible for his children and has always been. During his recent trip to The UK, he shopped for the kids (as every responsible father does) and has continued his responsibility of supporting them upon his return.

There is no bad blood between him and his ex but mutual respect and understanding, as should be the case when there are children involved. She has a new child with a new partner is happy.

We urge the media to stop fuelling stories that do not exist, just because Selly is in the Big Brother House, and just because a journalist has been paid to disseminate false information.
